The LMCS & RCS Wellness teams will be running a Middle/Elementary School Bike-A-Thon in support of Ride 2 Survive for all interested students in first through eighth grades. This is a great event for an extremely important cause. We appreciate everyone's help and support. The bike-a-thon will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 10 a.m. to noon at the LMCS track. Rain date will be April 27.
Parents and guardians should plan to be on hand to help supervise their children. Riders are asked to get to the school at 9:30 so the supervisors can check bikes and helmets and register participants. Each rider must have their own personal bike. Riders must bring and wear a helmet that tightens and snaps around their head. They also must wear sneakers; no crocs, keens or flip flops allowed. Please have each rider bring bottled water also. Some drinks and fruit will be available to the students. If students do not have the proper safety equipment, they will not be able to participate. Please look over bikes before attending the event.
Proper behavior and good sportsmanship are expected from all the riders. Students not behaving properly will be asked to leave and will no longer be allowed to participate in the event.
Permission slips have been sent home. Please include any serious medical conditions on this permission slip that the staff should be aware of, i.e. allergies, asthmatic, diabetes, heart condition. Any student who is currently excused from PE class is not eligible for this event.
Please return the bottom of this permission slip by April 7, to Mrs. Calley Erlwein, room 100. Once we have received your student's permission slip, we will send home the fundraising information. Thank you!
