Livingston Manor Library began hosting a monthly Sensory Play Series for children and their families in February. The Sensory Play Series targets neurodiverse children ages 3-10 and their families and seeks to provide children with an experience that is flexible and responsive to their natural play style. It is inclusive of the whole family, offering caregivers tools and games they can play at home to further connect with their child. Each month will model sensory play, focusing on a different sense i.e. sight, sound, touch, smell, taste and movement/balance led by artist and producer Jess Kaufman. The third program, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13, will focus on sight. There will be musical accompaniment by Joe Bergstein. Those who wish to attend are asked to sign up at the library by calling 845-439-5440, emailing livingstonmanorlibrary@rcls.org or visiting livingstonmanorlibrary.org/programsignup.

Dear Wildcat Community:
While this winter has been relatively mild in terms of snow, it has had its challenges. As of today we have three (3) unused emergency days remaining that were built into the school calendar for the 2023-24 school year.
The following changes are contingent upon having NO more emergency closing days between now and May 22, 2024. If there is a need to close, we will need to revisit our proposed use of give back days.
If no emergency closures occur between now and March 27, then Thursday, March 28, 2024 will be a give back day with NO SCHOOL for all students and staff. This would make Spring break from Thursday, March 28 to Monday April 8, 2024. Students returning to school on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.
Additionally, if no emergency days occur between April 9th and May 22nd, then Thursday, May 23, 2024 will also be a give back day with no school for all students and staff.
Thank you!
