Livingston Manor will host the Audra Sipple Spath Scholarship Girls Basketball Tournament on Jan. 19 and 20.
The tournament will kick off Friday, Jan. 19, with Liberty vs. Tri-Valley girls at 5 p.m. followed by Livingston Manor vs. Sullivan West at 6:30 p.m.
The consolation game will be at noon Saturday, Jan. 20, followed by the championship game at 2 p.m.
Donations will be accepted for the Audra Sipple Spath Scholarship, named in honor of the well-loved elementary school teacher at Livingston Manor, who passed away in 2022. Games will be livestreamed via the livestream link on the Livingston Manor Central School District's homepage, www.lmcs.us.

As a reminder, students will be dismissed at 11:30 AM tomorrow, Friday, January 12th, 2024. School will not be in session on Monday, January 15th, 2024 in honor of Martin Luther King Junior Day. This weekend is the Wildcat - Coach Fred Ahart Boys Varsity Basketball Tournament at LMCS. We hope to see you all there.

Ski Club for this Friday, January 12th, is cancelled. Ski Club will resume, Friday, January 19th. Meagan Edwards will be contacting each family signed up for Ski Club with updated information.

Good afternoon LMCS. Holiday Mountain has advised us to postpone Ski Club to next Friday, January 12th, to ensure adequate ski and snowboard conditions. Ski Club for this Friday, January 5th, is cancelled. Ski Club will resume, Friday, January 12th. We will reschedule a make-up trip for later in the season. Samuel Wolkoff played the national anthem on his electric guitar for a start of the varsity boys basketball game earlier this month.
Kimberly Luning's fourth grade Social Studies classes recently made long houses in groups to wrap up their unit on Native Americans. Check out their work.
Kindergarteners were busy in the week leading up to winter break. The kindergartners joined eighth-graders decorated gingerbread babies in Mrs. Poppo's class; fifth-grade students from Mr. Hemmer's class visited and interviewed kindergarten students as they helped them write letters to Santa, and Mrs. Ryan's kindergarten class demonstrated their presentation about cooperation, which is the PBIS (Positive behavioral interventions and supports) topic of the month.
A anonymous donor helped provide posters recognizing our senior winter athletes. The posters are displayed in the LMCS gym.
Leading up to winter break, students in the afterschool program made and decorated cookies.
The girls varsity basketball team hosted a food drive during a boys basketball game earlier this month to get spectators, fans, guardians and athletes to donate some items before the holiday season. This event was the team's OCIAA Community Service project for the winter season. Thanks, Anthony Morgano, for the photo!
The sixth grade students created "ugly sweaters" and posted them on a billboard in the fifth and sixth grade wing. Staff was invited to vote on their favorite. Which is yours?
